Your whole AWS stack, one price list
A real production web app on AWS — HA database, containers, load balancer, NAT, CDN, cache, storage — is a dozen line items that only grow with traffic. koigrid runs the same stack from one public price list, billed by the hour, egress included.
The app we’re pricing
A production SaaS: a Next.js app on 2 containers, a highly-available PostgreSQL database, a Redis cache, a CDN, and 100 GB of traffic a month. On AWS that’s the stack below; on koigrid it’s a handful of reserved resources.
Real-world monthly cost — HA production web app (eu-west, on-demand)
| AWS service | AWS $/mo | koigrid equivalent | Covered? |
|---|---|---|---|
| RDS PostgreSQL (Multi-AZ, HA) | 60 | Postgres HA, 2 × (2 GB, 1 vCPU, 20 GB) — PgBouncer + PITR included | ✅ |
| ECS / Fargate (2 tasks, 24/7) | 36 | App, 2 copies × (1 GB, 0.5 vCPU) | ✅ |
| ALB + NAT Gateway | 55 | Included — no load balancer, NAT or egress fees | ✅ |
| CloudFront (100 GB) | 10 | CDN included | ✅ |
| CloudWatch | 5 | Observability + anomaly detection | ✅ |
| ElastiCache (Redis, HA) | 24 | Managed Redis HA, 2 × (512 MB, 0.25 vCPU) | ✅ |
| S3 / ECR | 3 | S3-compatible storage + Container Registry (50 GB) | ✅ |
| Route 53 | 1 | DNS management (BYO — you connect your zone) | ⚠️ |
| Data egress (100 GB out) | 9 | Traffic included — the bill doesn’t move | ✅ |
| Total on AWS | ≈ $205/mo | and climbing — support, per-request fees and extra traffic are on top | |
The same stack on koigrid
reserved resources billed by the hour, traffic included — and you can set a spend cap
Why the AWS number is really higher
The NAT gateway alone
A single NAT gateway is ~$32/mo before a byte of data — about a quarter of koigrid’s bill for the whole stack, just so your containers can reach the internet.
Egress fees
AWS charges $0.05–0.09/GB to serve your own traffic. On koigrid traffic is included — the bill doesn’t move when you get popular.
Dozens of pricing dimensions
Per-GB, per-request, per-hour, per-IP, per-NAT-gateway… The estimate above is the floor, not the ceiling.
AWS figures are indicative (eu-west, on-demand, HA small-production workload, 2026): Multi-AZ RDS, 2 Fargate tasks, ALB + NAT gateway, HA ElastiCache, 100 GB egress. koigrid figure computed from its public price list. Domain registration is intentionally out of scope — koigrid manages DNS for a domain you already own.
